Getting support from other moms while on maternity leave can help ease the frustrations or anxiety you may be experiencing as a new parent. After all, no one else quite knows what you're going through - except for other moms like you! Here are the top 4 reasons to join a Mommy & Me group while on leave :

            (1) Positive encouragement and motivating friends can help you reach your breastfeeding goals! This is especially true if you don't have a supportive network at 鑫鼎彩票代理注册. Support groups provide a valuable lifeline for new mothers, offering education and skill-building opportunities with other moms.

            (2) You can find support groups either in-person or online. Living in a digital age makes it easier than ever to connect to moms when local groups aren't available. Take advantage of mom forums to connect with other moms. Examples of digital mommy communities can be found on Facebook, Meetup.com, etc.!

            (3) You'll feel a lot less isolated. Bringing 鑫鼎彩票代理注册 a new baby can feel very isolating, especially for a new mom. Surrounding yourself with a supportive network of moms can help ease this feeling. It often helps to hear other women describing similar challenges and joys that you experience.

            (4) You'll build valuable friendships. There's nothing quite like a friendship forged through the struggle of parenthood. Meeting parents going through the same thing as you can lead to valuable relationships that may last a lifetime. So go out there and build your mom tribe! No mom should ever have to face the journey of parenthood alone.

Between numerous work obligations and to-do lists at 鑫鼎彩票代理注册 , learning how to be more productive can vastly improve your everyday life. Learn to get more done in less amount of time by incorporating the following productivity hacks at 鑫鼎彩票代理注册 and/or at work:

            (1) The Pomodoro Technique. This technique helps you cut out distractions and work in a more efficient manner. This is especially effective for those who feel like they are easily distracted. How: Start by picking a task to focus on. Then, set a timer for 25 minutes. Work without any distractions/interruptions until the timer goes off. Take a 5 minute break then repeat the process up to 3 times before taking a longer break.

            (2) Top 3 Rule. This technique helps you prioritize the most important tasks in any given day. How: The night before, write down your top three priorities for the following day. These are your "must do's" for the day. Look at this list first thing in the morning and try to finish these three must do's by 12 PM!

            (3) Time Boxing. This technique is similar to using a day planner. It creates mini deadlines throughout the day to limit the amount of time spent on any one task so you can get more done in a day! How: Create a list of tasks that you need completed within a day. Then, lay out your schedule hour by hour (it's helpful to use a day planner). Allocate a specific time block for each task on your list. Review what you got done at the end of the day and adjust accordingly!

Stay at home moms and working moms are more alike than you think. They face similar struggles: they fret over the amount of housework they need to do, how much screen time their kids get, the hustle and bustle of scheduling play dates, etc.. And, they also face the same kind of guilt over their decisions: working moms can feel guilty for not spending time with their kids; stay at 鑫鼎彩票代理注册 moms may feel guilty for not financially contributing to their household.

It's time to dispel the myth that any one type of mom is better than the other! Moms make their decisions to return/not return to work depending on their individual and family needs. And they make these decisions for a ton of reasons: because financial needs arose, because of changing priorities, because of caregiving obligations, or because they really enjoy and find meaning in their chosen careers. Some even have found ways to meld family and work life together by choosing to work from 鑫鼎彩票代理注册 or pursue part-time opportunities.

When it comes down to it, only you know what's best for you and your family. And it's important that moms support each other no matter where they are in life. Motherhood is difficult for everyone regardless of their work status. Wherever you are in life, mom, you got this!

Care & support shouldn't stop just because a mom has successfully delivered their baby. If anything, the postpartum period is when moms need the most support.

How long is the postpartum period? While the postpartum period is often considered to last only six weeks after childbirth, in reality it can last for as long as four to six to twelve months. Moms should understand: postpartum recovery should never be rushed. It’s okay to take however much time you need to fully recover both physically and mentally!

It's advised that moms during this time always follow up with their physician after at least 6 weeks in to the postpartum period, and to also have a supportive network of friends & family to turn to. Moms can also seek out other specialists such as a sleep consultant or a lactation consultant.

Why is the postpartum period so important? It's is a crucial period where moms should be focused on their recovery and prioritize taking care of themselves, along with taking care of baby! Whether its asking questions about the changes in your body, needing help with physical symptoms such as fatigue or cramping, or seeking out help for emotional adjustment such as overcoming the baby blues - quality postpartum care can help moms feel happier & healthier.

So, remember, be kind to yourself, and be kind to your body during this critical period.

Having a flexible work arrangement may be just what you need as a working parent hoping to achieve the ideal work-life balance. But you may be wondering: how do I ask for it in the first place? ♀

Businesses that want to retain their best talent and satisfy their employees are starting to offer flexible work schedules for working parents. But before negotiating with your employer for a more flexible work arrangement, consider the following tips:

            (1) Do your research. If you hope to work for a specific company, sift through the company's website to see if they offer flex work arrangements. If you're already at a company and looking to ask for a flex schedule, check with co-workers who may have already negotiated a flex arrangement and ask for tips as to how to approach management with your request.

            (2) Create a proposal. Present your employer with a well-written, and well-researched proposal that outlines the benefits of flex work. During your presentation, make sure to offer evidence indicating how the change may improve your productivity, morale and organizational effectiveness. Be specific in what you request: whether it's a compressed work week, flex time, part-time, or telecommuting.

            (3) Be flexible and open to compromise. Asking for flexibility from your boss may require you to be flexible as well. For example, they may ask that you agree to a trial period to ease into the new work arrangements. If they still seem unsure, offer them time to think about it and follow up in about a week or so.

Breastfeeding provides a multitude of health benefits for both mom and baby. For those who do choose to breastfeed, it's important to set positive and achievable breastfeeding goals

            (1) Don't compare yourself to others. Every mom's breastfeeding journey is different, so never compare your success to others. For example: if you find yourself comparing your breastfeeding journey to other moms on your social media feed, take a break from social media or make it a goal to stop looking at social media before bedtime.

            (2) Celebrate the little things. Instead of having one big goal for breastfeeding, have smaller, short-term goals. That way, you celebrate everyday breastfeeding accomplishments and you feel a lot more motivated. Some short-term goals can include: taking a breastfeeding class, setting a goal to exclusively breast week for 2 weeks, or trying different positions to get a good latch!

            (3) Don't feel bad if you struggle or decide to stop breastfeeding. There's no such thing as failing to breastfeed. Whether you've breastfed for a couple minutes or five years, you have successfully breastfed!

The journey to motherhood looks different for every person. And it should be noted: not all mothers can breastfeed, and some don’t want to. There are other options besides breastfeeding: exclusive pumping, formula, etc..

At the end of the day, the choice is yours to make!

Choosing between staying an extra hour in the office or making it 鑫鼎彩票代理注册 in time for dinner can be a hard choice to make for a working mom. So how does a busy mom juggle between family time and work? Here are some of our tips:

            (1) Set clear boundaries for yourself. It's easy to get sucked in to the idea that you need to work tirelessly in ord er to prove "I can do it too!" As a result, you may miss out on valuable family time. Find a more efficient balance by drawing a clear line. Set an alarm and make it a goal to get 鑫鼎彩票代理注册 before dinner time.

            (2) Find your support, and lean on them. If you have a partner, equally divide the workload between the two of you when it comes to household chores and other duties. Of course, not every working mom has a partner to rely on: ask your network of friends, family, or other moms. Connect with another parent at school to share carpooling duties, or ask your family/close friends to babysit when you know you'll be spending extra time at work (or just need your "me time").

            (3) Leave work at work. As the saying goes: "don't bring your work 鑫鼎彩票代理注册." There will be days when you have to miss work because you or your baby is sick, or the sitter is unavailable. Sometimes you won't feel accomplished or that you "didn't do enough." Instead of spending time worrying over the "what if's," let it go. But if you feel like you're falling behind at work and just can't stop worrying: carve out 20 minutes or so after the kids are tucked in bed to check your email, assess your workload, and prioritize what you need to get done the next day. Just making a to-do list for the following day or upcoming week can alleviate a lot of work stress!
